CUSTOMER SERVICE
JOB SUMMARY:
Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services.
Work effectively with customers to handle and resolve any customer concerns or complaints.
JOB COMPETENCIES
The Customer Service Representative must be able to:

  1. Effectively communicate with clients through the use of both listening and speaking skills.
    Speaking clearly and coherently is a must.
  2. Solve the customer’s problem as quickly as possible and in a manner that is as satisfactory
    to the client as possible.
  3. Multitask while working. ie: must be able to speak to customer while typing notes and
    accessing information from databases.
  4. Empathize with customer needs and have a service-oriented attitude.

  6. Build positive long term relationships with customers and personnel in all departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Customer Service Representative must be able to:

  1. Receive customer requests by phone, mail or fax; analyze the request and provide information
    requested; or ascertain who can best provide the information requested and route the request
    to the proper person.
  2. Utilize Radius software to enter new orders, search data base for information regarding past
    orders, shipments, invoices and account status.
  3. Resolve customer questions related to orders, takes orders as needed.
  4. Maintain cooperative relationships with other departments for order completion.
  5. Write up orders, sample request, price quotations, and similar data for customers, as required.
  6. Respond to customers’ request via telephone and email.
  7. Have knowledge of product line, prices, delivery time, drop ship items, various marketing
    promotional services, and similar data, as required.
  8. Process all outside sales orders.
  9. Prepare and forward preliminary paperwork to Returns and Replacements on problem orders.

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:
Minimum three (3) years of experience is required. Pleasant telephone voice/manner, ability to
operate simple office equipment sufficiently to perform the job. Ability to compose
correspondence using proper English and grammar.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  1. This is a full-time position, 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.
  2. Annual salary between 38K – 44K DOE.
  3. Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO and PST.
