Title: Customer Service Representative
Location: St. Charles
Pay: $16-$18 per hour
Hours: 9 AM – 5:30 pm
Rx Systems is seeking enthusiastic entry-level candidates. Located in St. Charles County, this beautiful, well-maintained 84,000 sq. ft., climate-controlled facility is located in the Point West industrial park with convenient access from Highway 70 and two main roads to the building. This family-owned, 2nd generation company has served their customers for over 40 years.
Currently, Rx Systems is offering a $500 signing bonus. $250 at the end of 60 days and the remaining $250 at the completion of six months of successful employment.

JOB SUMMARY: Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints.
JOB COMPETENCIES The Customer Service Representative must be able to: 1. Effectively communicate with clients through the use of both listening and speaking skills. Speaking clearly and coherently is a must. 2. Solve the customer’s problem as quickly as possible and in a manner that is as satisfactory to the client as possible. 3. Multitask while working. ie: must be able to speak to customers while typing notes and accessing information from databases. 4. Empathize with customer needs and have a service-oriented attitude. 5. Demonstrate ethical behavior. 6. Build positive team relationships.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Customer Service Representative must be able to: 1. Receive customer requests by phone, mail or fax; analyze the request and provide information requested; or ascertain who can best provide the information requested and route the request to the proper person 2. Search company records under ZIP code, name, account number, etc., using software system, computer printout, or requisition information from factory. 3. Resolve customer questions related to orders, takes orders as needed. 4. Maintain cooperative relationships with other departments for order completion. 5. Write up order and mail catalog, samples, price quotations, and similar data to customer, as required. 6. Respond to customers’ requests via telephone or Fax. 7. Have knowledge of product line, prices, delivery time, drop ship items, various marketing promotional services, and similar data, as required. 8. Process all outside sales orders and courtesy sales originating through mail. 9. Prepare and forward preliminary paperwork to Returns and Replacements on problem orders.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Perform switchboard duties as needed. 2. Assist in Returns and Replacements as needed. 3. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of high school education or a GED is required. 1-2 years’ experience in customer service setting needed. One (1) year experience is required. Pleasant telephone voice/manner, ability to operate simple office equipment sufficiently to perform the job.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read, speak and comprehend English. Ability to compose correspondence using proper English and grammar.
- Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, are required.
- Communication: Communication skills are necessary to communicate with customers. CSR’s must be able to clearly explain information to their manager about the status of customer concerns and issues.
- Time management: You must be able to have multiple tasks going on at one time in a day, so it’s important for you to prioritize your work and manage time wisely. The ability to focus in a busy environment with minimal direction is an essential function of this position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The ability to work at a desk for 8 hours while answering the phone and entering data on the computer.
WORK ENVIROMENT: This position requires working at a desk and sitting while working on the computer during the entire shift with minimal opportunity to move around. This is an on-site position and regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
